Dr. Moris Senegor

For over three decades, I have practiced neurosurgery. After mastering my craft, I embraced new challenges. I invite you to explore my books, classical music podcasts, wine blogs, and photography—my first and enduring passion.

My Journey

Dr. Senegor was born in Istanbul, Turkey, where he grew up and finished high school. In 1974 he emigrated to the US and studied at the University of Chicago college and medical school. He continued onto to a neurosurgery residency at the same institution, with additional stints in London, Boston and San Francisco. Dr. Senegor began his neurosurgery practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1991 he moved to Stockton, California where he has practiced since. Dr. Senegor has been Chief of Neurosurgery at San Joaquin General Hospital, the sole neurosurgery center in San Joaquin County, since 2017.

In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Senegor pursues numerous other interests, foremost among them photography. He is also an avid wine enthusiast, classical music aficionado who has lectured on the subject for two decades, a cyclist and an author who has published four books.

Dr. Senegor resides in Stockton and San Francisco. He travels extensively to Western Europe, Turkey and various wildlife photography spots.
